Description
V-belt for CLAAS combine harvester – a standard element of the belt system
V-belt for CLAAS combine harvesteris a fundamental component of the drive system, enabling the transfer of mechanical power between pulleys. Thanks to its V-shaped cross-section,a V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvesterwedges into the pulley grooves, which ensures safe, efficient, and slip-free torque transmission. The variant with part number 255696 is characterised by flexibility, resistance to abrasion, and the ability to operate under varying load conditions typical of harvesting machinery.
Placement of the V-belt in the combine harvester's drive system
A V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvestercan be used at many points within the machine – both in main working drives and auxiliary drives. Typical locations include the drive for the threshing drum, straw walkers, fans, winnowers, hydraulic pumps, alternators, or air conditioning compressors.A V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvestercan also function in variator systems where a smooth change of rotational speed is required. The exact placement depends on the design of the specific machine model and the drive solution used.
Application and functions of the CLAAS V-belt
The primary application performed bya V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvesteris the effective and reliable transmission of mechanical power from the engine to individual working systems. The belt ensures smooth operation and proper synchronisation of the driven components.A V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvesteradditionally dampens vibrations, which reduces the dynamic loads on other components. Compared to chain solutions, it operates more quietly and can serve as a safety feature in the event of an overload, undergoing controlled slip and thereby protecting the machine's key mechanisms.
CLAAS combine harvester models compatible with belt 255696
A V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvesterwith part number 255696 is used in various models of this brand. It can be installed in machines from theLEXIONseries, depending on the drive configuration of the specific variant.A V-belt for a CLAAS combine harvesteris also found inTUCANOmodels as well as in older units from theMEGA,MEDIONandDOMINATORseries.
